Here Comes La Befana

Times four!

As Italian folklore has her, Befana is an old woman who delivers gifts to children throughout Italy on Epiphany Eve in a similar way to St. Nicholas or Santa Claus. A popular belief is that her name derives from the Feast of Epiphany. Epifania is a Latin word with Greek origins meaning "manifestation."

In honor of the holidays I've created four distinctly different, One Of A Kind miniature LaBefana's for your collection pleasure. Please allow me to introduce each of my four newest friends to you:

La Befana is an old Italian Christmas tradition dated at the 13th century. It is celebrated on the 6th of January, the day of the Epiphany. I've sculpted and costumed each original with their own personality, just in time to become an important part the holiday spirit you might want to create in your unique dollhouse, room box, cottage or regal castle!

my Etsy shop might have just the perfect miniature art treasure to help you set the mood you're after. It's filled with dozens of art dolls-fun furniture and unique bits & bobs to delight serious or casual collectors .

In addition to La Befana, my website spotlights much of my past and present miniature creations. Visitors will enjoy Victorian Ladies, Snow Queens, 1940's Housewives, Steam Punkers, Good Witches and more, along with unique furniture and other original handmade items to catch your eye and help capture your creative sense.
